Bio: Keiva Lei Cadena is the Director of Harm Reduction Services at Kumukahi Health + Wellness on Hawaii Island. She is a member of the steering committee for Positively Trans National Advisory Board and is a capacity building trainer for Positive Women’s Network. Keiva has worked in HIV services for the last 12 years prioritizing linkage to care for newly diagnosed individuals as well as HIV treatment and prevention education. She provides capacity building and trainings focused on Harm Reduction and LGBTQIA+ Cultural Sensitivity to state agencies and other organizations across the Hawaiian Islands and the Continental US. Most recently, Keiva was appointed to the Department of Justice’s Office of Violence Against Women’s DV-RISC Advisory Board, assisting in developing a resource center and best practice guidelines to support jurisdictions across the country in their coordinated response to survivors of intimate partner violence. In 2019, Keiva was named one of POZ Magazines “POZ 100” most influential people in HIV.
